Paying the 34 SEPA countries from Zug: timing and practicalities

SEPA Instant is available around the clock in the countries whose banks have adopted it, so a euro payment up to EUR 100,000 confirmed at any hour is usually credited within seconds; SEPA Standard payments settle the next banking day under the TARGET calendar, which closes on Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1 May, 25 and 26 December and New Year's Day.

Beneficiaries anywhere in the 34 countries are addressed by IBAN, with BIC only where the receiving bank still asks for it. Contractors in Poland, Sweden or Norway are paid in euros to a euro account; their own bank converts if the account is in local currency.

What XEROF needs before the first payment

  • Beneficiary name and IBAN, with BIC where the receiving bank asks for it.
