Paying Uganda from Zug: timing and practicalities
Kampala is on East Africa Time, one to two hours ahead of Zug, so the working days overlap. Shilling payments confirmed during the Swiss morning are credited the same Ugandan banking day by EFT; larger amounts go by RTGS.
Ugandan beneficiaries are addressed by bank and account number, and the USD 100,000 equivalent ceiling per payment is generous for the corridor's typical invoices from outsourcing firms, exporters and development-sector contractors. Several contractors can be paid from one conversion.
